We take pride in our workmanship. We focus 90% of our effort on groundwork preparation. Below is the standard workflow our commercial crews follow for every synthetic lawn.
We use compact skid steers to excavate 3 inches of native sod, grass roots, and clay soil, hauling it away to local recycling facilities. We then cap and seal any old, unwanted sprinkler lines.
We distribute high-quality class II road base stone. Using a heavy vibrating plate compactor, we pack the gravel sub-base to a 95% compaction rate. We grade the surface to direct rainwater away from foundations.
We install commercial-grade geotextile weed barrier fabric over the base, pinning it securely to suppress weed intrusion and support drainage.
We unroll the turf sheets, alignment-checking the grass fibers. We use professional seaming tape and turf adhesive to seal seams, creating a flat, seamless appearance.
We spread silica infill sand evenly across the turf. We then use a mechanical power broom to brush the infill sand deep into the backing. This holds the grass fibers upright and adds stabilizing weight to the turf.
